Finally, an Accountant who works the same hours you do
Don't lose your evenings and weekends to the Taxman. We provide simple, jargon-free accounting for sole traders, available when you’re actually off-site, evenings and weekends included.

You already work one job.
Why are you working a second one at 7pm?
You know how it is. You’ve been on-site since 8 AM. You get home dirty and tired, have your dinner, and instead of putting your feet up or playing with the kids, you have to open the laptop.
You spend your evening chasing invoices, trying to balance spreadsheets, and stressing about the new "Making Tax Digital" (MTD) rules HMRC is bringing in. It feels like the goalposts keep moving, and you're terrified of getting a brown envelope with a fine.
You are a skilled tradesman, not an accountant. It’s time to get your evenings and weekends back.
Imagine a Sunday where you don't even think about Tax
Admin on the go: We can set you up with a simple app on your phone that takes care of the boring stuff for you. You can send professional invoices before you've even left the customer's driveway, let the software automatically sort your bank payments, and see exactly who owes you money at a glance.
Total Compliance: We handle all the confusing new MTD (Making Tax Digital) rules behind the scenes. We make sure the taxman stays happy, so you never have to worry about missing a deadline or getting a fine.
Your Time, Reclaimed: Imagine having your evenings free to actually enjoy your hard-earned money, instead of squinting at a laptop screen at 8 PM.

Frequently asked questions
Take a look at our FAQs for quick answers to your questions
Do I need an accountant as a sole trader?
No, it’s not a legal requirement — but most sole traders find an accountant saves time, reduces errors, and helps them claim all eligible expenses. A professional accountant ensures your records meet HMRC standards and your tax return is submitted correctly.
How do I register as a sole trader with HMRC?
You can register online on GOV.UK by creating a Government Gateway account and choosing “register for Self Assessment.” You’ll receive a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) number for filing your tax returns.
What records do I need to Keep?
Keep all income, expense, and invoice records for at least six years. Accurate bookkeeping helps you complete your Self Assessment and ensures you can justify any business expense claims to HMRC.
When do I need to submit my tax return?
Sole traders must submit Self Assessment tax returns by 31 January following the end of the tax year (which ends 5 April). For example, the 2024/25 return is due by 31 January 2026.
How much tax will I pay as a sole trader?
You’ll pay Income Tax and National Insurance based on your profits after expenses. The exact rate depends on your earnings and tax thresholds set by HMRC each year.
What expenses can I claim?
Allowable expenses include office costs, travel, equipment, phone bills, marketing, and business insurance — provided they are “wholly and exclusively” for business use. Your accountant can check eligibility before filing.
Do I need a business bank account?
It’s optional, but keeping a separate account makes bookkeeping and tax returns far simpler. It helps track your business income and expenses accurately.
What is making tax digital (MTD)?
MTD is a government initiative requiring businesses to keep digital records and file tax returns using compatible software. Sole traders earning over the HMRC threshold will join MTD for Income Tax from April 2026.
What is included in your fixed-fee accounting service?
All bookkeeping, tax returns, year-end accounts, and HMRC submissions are covered. You’ll have a dedicated accountant, same-day response, and no hourly charges or hidden costs.
Can you help me switch from my current accountant?
Yes. We handle the transfer process, contact your previous accountant, and import your records so your accounting continues smoothly without downtime.
